Still Standing cards are printed from an original pastel painting of a barn right up the road from our house just after the little bridge that crosses over the Sawmill River. None of us who live hear quite understand how this barn is still standing. It bulges and leans in dramatic fashion. We had a microburst last summer and thought for sure the landscape would change forever without what I have affectionately named 'the leaning tower of barnage'. But, much to everyone's surprise and delight, the old barn still stood. I love this barn. It's just gorgeous in all kinds of light. I'm a little obsessed with painting it.
