Grandma's is an original pastel painting of a house that is not, in fact, my grandmothers. My grandmother, Nanny as we called her, lived in a one bedroom apartment in Greenport, NY which is near the end of the North Fork of Long Island. I titled this painting Grandma's because that's what the image feels like to me; an inviting, warm, tea on the stove top, cookies in the oven kind of place. It's actually a beautiful old house near the center of Montague. It grabs my attention every time I walk, jog, bike, or drive by. It's just lovely with it's large windows, deep red brick, and ivy climbing the side that faces the street. I took artistic license with putting Nanny's white Rambler in the dirt driveway.
Grandma's measures 6.5" x 9.5" and is sold unframed. Please contact me if you would like to purchase the painting framed.
