Indian Corn is a soft pastel painting which I did en plein air on my birthday, October 14.  Being that it is usually the peak of autumn, I take my portable art studio and camera out in search of the beauty of the season.  

This is a farm road just down from our house where they grow acres and acres of pumpkins and Indian corn.  It's so fun to watch an eighteen-wheeler drive by our house fill to the top of every box with bright orange pumpkins.  I imagine all the front doors they will grace and wonder which ones will be chosen for carving.

Indian Corn original is sold in a gold frame that measures 3.75" x 4.75". The print comes in a white mat with backing and measures 3" x 4".
