Dawn was printed from a pastel painting I did en plein air in Chatham, NY. My brother lives in a place called Camphill Ghent which is the Rudolph Steiner vision of growing old in community. The campus is amazingly beautiful and inspires me to paint every time I visit him. Last year I exhibited 28 original pastels all of Camphill Ghent, inside and out, in the gallery on campus. The residents loved and appreciated the paintings and I was moved by the whole experience.
